KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA  INA COLONY, NEW DELHI-23

                            SCOUTS AND GUIDES

The students of Scouts and Guides took parts in different  activities of  the Vidyalaya.  Among other duties they welcomed the Chief guests during different programmes. They also took part in cleaning the Vidyalaya. This year 71 scouts and 23 Guides. They are trained on every Wednesday with prayer pledge scouts guide song. They are given training B.P exercises syllabus for Prathama,Dwitya and Tritiya Sopan in log book is also maintained. They are registered in prime Minister Shield Competition and preparations for competitions are done. Several type of welfare programme was organized by the scouts and guides.

1.   Plantation:- Students of scouts and guide planted different trees in the Vidyalaya campus and near localities of the vidyalaya.

2.   Welcome to our Guests:- In different occasions students of scout and guide welcome to guests and presented guards of honour.

3.   Participation in Disaster Management  Programme:-Students of scout and guide demonstrate different type of rescue operations such as earthquake, fire, train accident and how the life is saved during this disaster.

4.   Participation in Health Awareness Programme:-The student of scout and guides took part in different type of health awareness programme.

5.   Social Welfare Programme:-The students of scout and guide take part in different type of welfare programme like population control, discipline of vidyalaya.

                                    

                                Report on NCC Activities

  • As per the letter no. 3330/KV/OGNCC/Budget, the NCC has been restored in the Vidyalaya from August 2007.

 

  • The lasker of 100 strong NCC Cadets participate in the Vidyalaya  Weakly Parade on every Thursday and Friday.

 

  • 13 Cadets of the Vidyalaya participated in PRE-RDC IV w.e.f. 16 Dec. 2006 to 27  Dec 2006 held at NCC Headquarters.

 

  • 20-25 Cadets will participate in 2007 PRE Camp.

 

  • The NCC Cadets are very actively engaged during the parades of the Independence Day and Republic Day.

 

A Report on the Activity Schedule & Status of Cubs & Bulbuls for session 2007-08

As per the new Academic session 2007-08 the strength of Cubs & Bulbuls are (63 Cubs & 48 Bulbuls) 111 i.e. one hundred and eleven. First period of every Wednesday is assigned for scout & guide and Cubs & Bulbuls Activities. In this period these children are engaged in different activities based on physical, mental, social and moral development. Few main activities are listed as follows:-

1.Importance of joining these activities, character building, turn out and  development of their personality.

2.”Samvet Shivir”-Combined Cubs & Bulbuls was organised on 30.01.07. The children had morning assembly Flag Break Ceremony and other competitions.

3.Poster Making & Slogan writing competition was held on 24.10.07. The children wrote beautiful slogans on environment and made attractive posters.

4.Entarance Exam- “RAJAT PANKH” was organized on 12.9.07. In this the students appeared and tested on them basic general knowledge and then given the passing certificate.

5. November has been fixed for combined camp in the school premises in which they will be given lecture on signaling, knots, First Aid etc.

6.Month November is for their cultural activities and some sports competition like race and cycling.

7.December is for class on gadgets making and some camp duty like test making and demonstration.

8.January has been fixed for their social service in which they will go to their nearly surrounding and explain about balance diet hygiene sanitation and health.

9.February is for “Khari Kamai” activity- here they will make envelope and handicrafts and try to sell in the school. They will also learn to prepare some quick and delicious food.

10.13.10.07 and 14.10.07 on this date they had participated in the camp held at K.V AFS Gurgaon and performed in various activities.
